If it’s true that karma balances everything out, next year Real Madrid better win the championship, the champions league, copa del rey, eurovision and masterchef to compensate for this season.

If someone hadn’t watched a single game of Real Madrid this season, today’s game was the perfect representation. A team that last season was one step from being at the top has dropped two levels and managed the unthinkable, lose from rival Atletico for the first time in 14 years, in a final, inside their own stadium.
In the field today it didn’t feel like watching a team, it felt like watching random individuals wearing the Real Madrid emblem. Management non existent all season hiding behind the coach. Mourinho having forced Casillas, Marcelo, Pepe and Kaka out of the team. Tactically, only defense looks like they know what they are doing, though with Essien and Albiol starting, it’s also bound to crumble under pressure. Offense is pathetic. Only set pieces and individual plays. Organized attempts at goal are scarcely rare.
Game today, like many during the season, was ready for us to take. Take the lead early….but you are unable to hold on to it and you are forced to search for more goals and you simply fail to do that. Ozil was our fatal player. Underperforming all season yet he gets the chance to score in two easy chances and become the hero…..he misses both. Ronaldo sent off when the team needed him most. Mourinho and Pepe rushing first in stupid arguments but in important matters they let the team hanging.
And last but not least, bad refereeing and luck not on our side. I’ve seen enough. Being 2-1 behind and being 100% sure that we won’t make a comeback is a new feeling for me. It doesn’t feel like I’m watching Real Madrid play anymore.

i have almost never nodded so vigorously with a reddit comment but YEP. YEP. shitty. SHITTY shitty SHITTY tactics and performance today. absolute shit.

why bother blaming the referees when i can justifiably blame our team?

No Pepe? Give me one good reason to play a slower, less tactically aware defender named Albiol in a final with two clinical finishers (Diego Costa and Falcao).

I’m quite positive that expression in the third gif is David Tennant, not The Doctor, trying not to cry.
